All words in relation to something bad happening in the retroperitoneum. Retroperitoneum is the cavity behind the peritoneum, where you get kidney, duodenum, descending aorta can, the vena cava and a large number of lymph nodes.
Retroperitoneal lymph nodes means that you have this node. Iliac lymph nodes means that they have developed some lymph nodes near the iliac arteries in the pelvis. Called aortic lymph nodes near the aorta.
The enlargement of these nodes can be caused by metastases, but also by an infection, chemotherapy / radiotherapy.
Perhaps you can find more information on my blog:

Lymphadenopathy: Enlargement or diseases of the glands, esp. Lymph

The peritoneum is the lining of the abdominal cavity and retro is back.

Iliac a reference to the highest and broadest of the three bones that fuse to form each of the hipbones.

Aortic lymph node is the lymph nodes closest to the aorta.
